A place for all Cornish music and musicians

The Cornish National Music Archive aims to collect together information about musical cultures in Cornwall and its diasporic communities – from step-dancing to brass bands, electronica to folk sessions, and Christmas carols to bagpipes. It is for everybody to use, to learn from, and to contribute to.

Latest project: Music Of The Roseland

Throughout 2024, the CNMA team are working with The Roseland Music Society and St Gerrans and Porthscatho Old Cornwall Society to develop a project that celebrates the musical heritage of the Roseland peninsula – one of Cornwall’s most rural areas.

Over the course of the year we’ll be running a series of events, workshops, performances to bring local music to local communities.

We are also working with local schools, musicians and community groups to gather together information about the musical life of the Roseland.
